Title contenders Gor Mahia, Ulinzi Stars and Tusker yet again dropped vital points in their respective midweek encounters in what is turning out to be a cagey Kenyan Premier League title race.
Leaders Tusker were thumped 2-0 by Thika United at the Kenyatta Stadium in Machakos on Wednesday while champions Gor Mahia could only battle to a barren draw with hosts Sony Sugar in Awendo.
Third-placed Ulinzi Stars also drew 1-1 with Muhoroni Youth in an explosive match as Mathare United were humbled 2-1 by Kakamega Homeboyz in another shock result of the league’s round 20 matches in Mumias. Only six points now separate the top four teams.
It’s a league title which now appears nobody wants to win.
