DP Ruto Warns Against Negative Ethnicity
Deputy President William Ruto has said that the stability of the nation is more important than any person’s win or loss in an election. Speaking during a meeting with religious leaders at Sugoi on Friday, Ruto said that no politician will be spared in the battle against negative ethnicity.
Ruto said that it is high time that politicians join hand s and take part in the building bridges initiative and unite the country ahead of the 2022 elections.
He further warned that tough actions would be taken against anyone propagating feelings of hate amongst communities.
He took the opportunity to state that the church has a major part to play in bringing together communities and urged the religious leaders to take up the task.
He said that the government will not relent in the battle against tribalism and added that the government is committed in ensuring that the country is united.
Among the leaders present were MPs Julius Melly of Tinderet, Cornelly Serem of Aldai among others.
