Gor Mahia signed up clinton okoth
Kenyan League giants have roped in the National Super League top scorer Clinton Okoth from Migori Youth.Okoth has been a revelation for Migori this season after notching 14 goals to propel the youthful side to position five on the NSL log with 31 points before his departure.
Okoth joins Uganda striker Juma Balinya who crossed over from Yanga SC last week with the team promoting Chris Alfa and Alphonce Omija from their youth team; Okoth and Balinya in to replace Ivorian Gisleim Yikpe and Ghanaian Francis Afriyie who have joined Tanzania’s Yanga SC and Botswana’s Township Rollers respectively.
GOR Mahia has been struggling financially but a chance to feature for the best team in the country might have proved too hard for Okoth to turn down as his club hasn’t been doing well on the financial front too.
.Apart from him, the club's captain Clifford Ouma is being linked with a move to the Kenyan Premier League with KCB and Mathare United said to be interested.
