Magoha rubbishes false claims over form one selection.
Cabinet secretary for Education George Magoha has refuted claims of parents who say that most KCPE 2019 candidates were not placed in their designated schools.
Speaking in Mombasa during a national meeting of primary school head teachers, the CS maintained that the selection was a thorough and all candidates’ choices were put into consideration. ‘They were placed in their first choices and the schools they are crying foul about were not number one choice. You can go and cross-check our data, it’s available, Magoha said.
Sources had earlier indicated that 30,000 candidates were placed in schools they had not chosen due to unavailability of vacancies in Home Counties. Magoha further urged those with complaints to countercheck their children’s choices.
