National secondary schools term two games came to a glorious end.
St Anthony’s Boys Kitale was crowned the under-19 football champions 2019 after a 5-4 post-match penalties win over Nairobi’s Dagoretti High School at the Moi Stadium, Kisumu. Both sides were locked in a 0-0 stalemate after normal and extra-time forcing the penalty shoot-outs so as to decide the winner.
Nyakach Girls High School was also crowned the U-19 football Champions after defeating Itigo Girls 2-0. Wiyeta girls U-16 team were able to retain their title after a 2-1 win. Serani Boys High School was also crowed the U-16 schools' championship after defeating Koyonzo from Mombasa 1-0.
Mogonga PAG Secondary School from Kisii was crowned the new boys’ volleyball champions while Kwanthanze secondary school retained their girls’ volleyball title. Kaya Tiwi Girls also retained their netball champions’ title after defeating Nyakach girls. St Joseph Boys also won in the in-door table tennis game as they claimed the first 4 positions of the game. The winners and the first runners up, including some of the second runners up in some events will represent the country at the East Africa Secondary School Games set for Arusha, Tanzania later this month.
