President Omar Al- Bashir Forced Out Of Power.
Sudan’s President, Omar Al-Bashir has been overthrown from power by the Sudan military. It has been confirmed by Sudan minister for Defense, Award Mohamed Ibn Auf through a televised press address on Thursday.
This has been as a result of numerous demonstrations by the Sudanese who wanted him out of power. Sudan Minister for Defense added that the Sudan government had been dissolved and hence a two-year military council has been established to oversee the transition of power.
In his speech, Awad Mohamed Ahmed Ibn Auf confirmed that Bashir was out of power and was being held at a place he termed safe. He has then declared a three-month state of emergency and a curfew from 10 p.m to 4 a.m and the closure of the Sudan air space and border crossings.
Numerous Sudanese ran in jubilation in the streets of Khartoum following the ouster from power of Omar Al- Bashir.
