Women Leaders Condemns the Act
Women leaders have come out strongly to condemn the heinous act of Sharon Otieno’s murder. Speaking to the press on Wednesday, Migori Women Representative Pamela Odhiambo and her counterpart for Homabay Gladys Wanga said that they will be failing as women leaders if they do not condemn the act.
Odhiambo has called upon stakeholders in the security agencies to quickly carry out investigation to ensure justice is done to the family. She however urged all young people to stay in school and accept their student status.
On the other hand, Wanga termed the act as heinous, barbaric and reckless to kill the girl together with her unborn baby. She however said that this was a true test for DCI and the authorities saying that its alleged the high and the mighty are involved.
The government spokesperson Erick Kiraithe while addressing the media said that the criminal act will be investigated and perpetrators identified.
