Police in Uasin Gishu County have arrested a woman in Elgon view estate for allegedly stabbing her husband following a domestic row after the husband spent a night out of home.<\/p>\n

Winnie Maina a 35-year-old is accused of stabbing Wycliffe Muriithi Miriti who is 33 years of old who died while undergoing treatment at Moi Teaching and Referral Hospital in Eldoret.<\/p>\n

The police commander for Uasin Gishu Ayub Gitonga said the accused was arrested by officers from Langas police station.<\/p>\n

\u201ca security guard at the state informed police officer that the couple arrived at their house from a local pub at around 4:30am on Monday, August 22, before a fight started between the two\u201d<\/p>\n

The suspected attacker suffered stab injuries. Eldoret high court deputy registrar Rosemary Onkoba allowed police to hold the suspect for seven days pending investigations.<\/p>\n

The court said the suspect must undergo mental assessment before she is charged. The case would be mentioned on August 29, 2022 .<\/p>\n
