The driver of a 47-seater bus involved in a crash that killed 15 people on the Nakuru-Eldoret Highway on Tuesday has been arrested by the police. Clement Kiarie, a  34 years old man who was driving the ‘Classic King’ bus, was detained at the Mau Summit Police Station on Wednesday pending his arraignment.

In that fatal accident, eight adults and seven children which includes five girls and two boys died in the 2.45 a.m. accident whereas seven other passengers were seriously injured while 38 others under went treated for minor injuries.

Those who were injured were taken to Molo Sub-County Hospital, and the bodies of the deceased were moved to the mortuary at the same facility.

In the early Tuesday morning accident, the unfortunate incident occurred after a 14-seater Matatu collided head on with a bus along  Nakuru-Eldoret highway in twin bridge.
