Our October 9th Vigil Night was nothing short of blessings and spiritual revival, bringing together together believers for a night of prayer, spiritual encouragement,  praise and worship. We thank God for the event which strengthened the faith of believers and encouraged them to remain steadfast in their walk with God despite the challenges of everyday life. The night was guided by the theme, “When trouble come, Look unto Jesus!”, drawn from 2 Corinthians 4:18.

The believers were reminded to shift their focus from their troubles and circumstances to Jesus Christ, trusting in God’s power and faithfulness during difficult times.

Rev. Hosea Bandi  from Church Is Word of Life, Bukembe, Bungoma County, was the celebrant for the night. Through the word of God, he challenged believers to maintain their faith, remain hopeful and trust in God even when faced with life’s storms and uncertainties.

The night was also marked by vibrant praise and worship sessions led by various teams, whose praises and worship created an atmosphere of spiritual reflection, thanksgiving and celebration. Among the participating groups were PEFA Cathedral Praise and Worship Team, under the leadership of Bishop Teresia Thiong’o; Sauti ya Ushindi Gospel Band from Kesogon, led by Pastor Joel Chanja; AIC Makutano Choir, under Pastor Ruth Kichwen; and Faith Church Praise and Worship Team.

The teams led congregants in songs of praise and worship, adding energy and spiritual depth to the gathering. The vigil provided an opportunity for believers from different backgrounds to come together in fellowship, share in the word of God and renew their commitment to prayer and Christian living.

The gathering also highlighted the role the ministry plays in promoting Christian values, spreading the Gospel and creating platforms for spiritual growth and fellowship within the community. As the night came to a close, the central message remained clear: challenges may arise, but believers should not allow their circumstances to weaken their faith. Instead, they should keep their eyes fixed on Jesus, trusting Him to guide them through every storm.

The fellowship marked another moment of spiritual fellowship for the Christian community in Kitale, leaving attendees with a renewed message of hope, faith and perseverance.
