Seven judges’ names have been forwarded by the Judicial Service Commission (JSC) to President Uhuru Kenyatta for consideration for the position of Judge of the Court of Appeal.
After interviewing candidates for the seats, the JSC recommended the names of Justices Kimaru Luka Kiprotich, Gachoka Paul Mwaniki, Lady Justice Lydia Achode, Ochieng’ Fredrick Andago, Justice Mativo John Mutinga, Lady Justice Ngenye Grace Wangui, and Lady Justice Aroni Abida Ali.
Chief Justice and Chairperson of the Judicial Service Commission Martha Koome revealed in a press release distributed to newsrooms that JSC has completed the interview process for the open jobs it had posted on March 14 of this year on July 13, 2022.
“After lengthy deliberations and careful consideration of the performance of the various candidates and based on constitutional imperative of merit, gender, regional balance, affirmative action and public interest, JSC recommended the names forwarded to the President,”
Koome expressed gratitude to Kenyans, candidates, and all other participants for their involvement in the recruitment and selection process.
